  • Determining graphic design and corporate Web design guidelines for the Silanta Technologies, Corporate Web site and other Web-based marketing and advertising initiatives.
  • Determining the navigation and page template systems for Silanta Web sites.
  • Designing and producing incidental graphics, Flash and/or GIF animations, Web ad banners, and print-resolution graphics as needed.
 Job Requirements:
  • This position requires strong visual and conceptual problem-solving skills. Candidates must have the ability to provide creative solutions for projects with tight deadlines, while working within Silanta Technologies, Corporate branding guidelines.
  • Four or more years of professional experience in Web development with an emphasis on graphic design, interactive design, and site design. Experience in Web marketing is required. Some experience in Web or print advertising is highly desirable, as is a background in film or video production, digital video production, digital audio production, and/or CD-ROM development.
  • Applicant must be able to provide five samples of Web sites that they have designed, and one site that they have built entirely by themselves. The applicant may also provide sample Web banner animations, Flash animations, or Shockwave movies they have created.
  • User interface design skills are important, as is the ability to work quickly while maintaining an attention to detail. Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with writing and proofing skills a definite plus.
  • Expert-level Photoshop skills are required, as is a thorough knowledge of HTML, including cross-browser implementation issues. Working knowledge of cascading style sheets and DHTML is a plus.
  • Education: BFA/MFA or equivalent experience
